Sports betting is now legal in New York State.
Earlier this week, Rivers Resort and Casino in Schenectady became the states first location to legally accept wagers on sporting events. You can hand over your money in a new 5,000-square foot area that features a 53-foot long video wall.
According to The Daily Gazette, it is the hope that legalization will reduce the amount of illegal gambling in New York or legally in other states where it's been allowed
