Marathon returns to the Hudson Valley Sunday, September 15

A Hudson Valley tradition returns this fall.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports, The Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club is bringing back a revamped version of the 26.2 mile marathon and Dutchess County Classic.

Sunday, September 15th, the races will start and finish at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie and will include "traffic-free pathways" for runners. The race route is being described as mostly flat and fast, taking runners along the Dutchess Rail Trail and the Walkway Over the Hudson.

Race options include a full marathon (26.2 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 5K, a full marathon wheel, a half marathon wheel, and a Kids 1 mile. You can register for a race here.
